LOB Description:
This role serves as a Lead Release Manager responsible for driving the evolution of release management practices across International Technology & Global Payments Solutions Technology (ITGPST) and Global Banking & CRM Technology (GBCT), supporting a complex application landscape of ~850 applications. The position will lead efforts to transition release management from fragmented, legacy processes to a more standardized, automated, and scalable operating model, improving release efficiency, stability, and risk management. This individual will operate as a key leader within release management, partnering across technology teams to establish consistent processes, drive adoption of modern practices, and ensure effective execution across the release lifecycle.
LOB Responsibilities:
- Process Standardization & Improvement
- Support the transition toward modern release practices aligned with Cutover and Service Now adoption, and automation wherever possible (reporting, planning, tracking)
- Identify gaps in current release practices and drive process improvement and standardization
- Establish repeatable, scalable processes that improve release predictability and efficiency
- Release Management Leadership
- Lead end-to-end release planning, coordination, and execution across ITGPST and GBCT portfolios
- Drive consistency across multiple LOBs, platforms, and technology silos
- Act as a central point of coordination for large-scale, complex release activities
- Release Governance & Risk Management
Job Description:
This job is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and functions for the assigned team. Key responsibilities include delegating work to team members, supervising work processes, providing informal leadership of sub teams or technology silos, managing on call and support schedules, and providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to team members. Job expectations include solving complex technical and analytical issues and effectively communicating results to senior management and Line of Business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks and assignments for the team including tracking tasks and tickets in system(s) of record, ensuring enterprise service level agreements are met, and participating in defect, incident, problem, and change review meetings and release activities
- Provides point of escalation for team members, peers, and partner teams, and shares the leadership Point of Contact for triage of high priority incidents or consulting engagements
- Performs all responsibilities of team members from applicable teams
- Works with appropriate teams to ensure alerts, monitoring, dashboards, and processes are established appropriately for new projects and initiatives
- Participates and helps with resource interviews and onboarding processes
- Performs access reviews, conducts compliance activities, and serves as a delegate for administrative processes
- Creates the on call rotation schedule and ensures support for off hours, weekends, and release windows

Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Release Management across complex enterprise environments
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-application release portfolios
- Strong risk management and change governance discipline
- Proven ability to coordinate across diverse teams and drive alignment
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to leverage data and metrics to improve outcomes
- Experience within payments, banking, or financial services technology environments (preferred)
