Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and enhance Market Risk Engines and related applications
Build and maintain high-performance, mission-critical Java-based backend systems
Architect scalable, resilient, and highly available enterprise solutions
Support, optimize, and improve risk calculation platforms and services
Collaborate closely with global teams across Europe, North America, and India
Actively participate in Agile software development processes
Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices
Develop a strong understanding of financial risk concepts, business processes, and underlying data models

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience in server-side Java development
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
Experience building and supporting large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications
Knowledge of multithreading, JVM internals, Spring Framework, SQL, Linux/Unix, and Python
Experience working in Agile environments
Background in financial services, risk management, market data, or financial analytics is highly desirable
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with Spark, Symphony Grid, KDB, or MongoDB
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Snowflake
Full-stack development experience
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices
