Description
Our client is one of the leading Food Service (QSR) Company who has more than 30 stores across Nigeria and manage multiple different brands.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager/ Financial Controller to join the team in Lagos, and manage the company's Financial activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and forecasts budgets for the company in Lagos and collaboration with business units and under direction of General Manager.
- Implement finance and accounting policies and procedures
- Revise finance and accounting policies and procedures based on change in business transactions, standards update or feedback from auditors.
- Determine effect of potential business decisions on financial performance.
- Collaborate as company representative with business partners, such as banks, ERP providers, suppliers, auditors and other service providers.
- Coordinate with banks if needed to execute trade finance arrangements. Oversee that supporting documents for such transactions are complete and accurate.
- Cooperate with business units and support functions across company.
- Ensure prompt and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare timely financial statements.
- Report variances and liaise with business units and support functions to analyze the variances and agree on corrective actions.
- Oversee accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, costs recognition, inventory and general ledger entries.
- Ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements. Stay up to date with possible developments in areas of VAT
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance from reputable university
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Professional qualifications from a recognized body is a plus (CPA, ACCA, CMA, DipIFR)
- 7-10 years of experience among which at least (2) years in a supervisory/managerial position
- Experience in a QSR or F&B Industry is a must
