Trade Marketing Manager

We are looking for a results-drivenTrade Marketing Manager, to act as the strategic bridge between the Global/Corporate Brand strategy and the local market sales execution. This role is responsible for translating brand plans into effective channel-specific marketing initiatives that drive traffic, conversion, and brand visibility at the point of sale, ultimately aligning with the company’s commercial growth objectives in China.

Channel & Brand Strategy Execution

  • Translate the global/China marketing team commercial and brand strategy into localized trade marketing policies and channel-specific action plans to drive business growth.
  • Set and manage the trade marketing budget and measurable targets (ROI, market share, distribution KPIs) for the China market.
  • Act as the key liaison between corporate/China marketing team and the local sales force to ensure synergy between global brand campaigns and local retail/trade execution.
  • Conduct regular store visits and trade partner meetings to gather market intelligence regarding pricing, competition, sales opportunities, and customer behavior. Centralize this data to provide actionable business intelligence and recommendations.

 Promotion/ campaign design and management

  • Plan and manage the end-to-end execution of trade promotions (e.g., volume-based incentives, bundling offers, seasonal campaigns, HCP engagement events, product sampling days) to drive sell-out and trial.
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness by tracking ROI, volume uplift, and distribution gains, optimizing future activities based on data-driven insights.

Pricing & Commercial Planning

  • Co-manage channel-specific pricing strategies (including trade terms, discounts, and rebates) to ensure competitiveness, margin protection, price elasticity are met market needs, and alignment with the overall brand pricing architecture.
  • Conduct regular pricing analysis and monitor market price fluctuations to recommend adjustments that optimize profitability and market share.
  • Collaborate with Finance,Sales and Commercial Excellence to develop trade investment frameworks and ensure pricing guidelines are consistently applied across all accounts.
  • Set clear KPIs for trade campaigns (e.g., distribution gains, market share, ROI, sell-out volume) and track performance against targets. 
  • Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics across all channels, reporting back insights to guide future strategy.

More about you:  

  • Minimum 8 years of marketing experience with at least 3 years in a Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing, or Category Management role within the medical device, pharmaceutical, OTC, or healthcare FMCG sector in MNC.
