Job Title: Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer with strong backend architecture expertise and startup experience to join our growing team. You will play a key role in building and scaling core systems powering complex financial workflows across backend services, APIs, and frontend applications. Your work will directly impact platform scalability, transaction reliability, and the speed at which customers manage and optimize cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Build and ship end-to-end product features across backend systems, APIs, and frontend applications
• 
  Design and scale distributed backend architecture supporting high-volume financial workflows
• 
  Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to deliver impactful customer-facing solutions
• 
  Translate ambiguous business problems into practical, scalable engineering solutions
• 
  Make sound technical tradeoffs between speed, maintainability, and long-term scalability
• 
  Contribute hands-on across the stack, including backend services, data workflows, APIs, and frontend features
• 
  Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve iteration speed, engineering efficiency, and delivery quality

Must-Have Qualifications

• 
  Proven startup experience working in fast-paced, low-structure environments
• 
  Hands-on engineering mindset with the ability and willingness to actively code and contribute technically
• 
  Experience developing large-scale systems within high-performing engineering organizations or large companies
• 
  Strong backend engineering fundamentals with professional experience in Python preferred
• 
  Experience designing scalable backend architecture and complex distributed systems
• 
  Ability to work independently, make decisions with incomplete information, and drive projects end-to-end
• 
  Comfortable contributing across the stack, including APIs, data workflows, and frontend development

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Experience building fintech, SaaS, or workflow automation platforms
• 
  Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure and scalable system design patterns
• 
  Experience improving engineering velocity through AI-assisted development workflows
• 
  Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
• 
  Track record of owning critical technical initiatives from concept through production delivery
