About you
The Director of Sales Operations is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the commercial team. Reporting to the National Director of Sales, the DSO will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the commercial organization supported. The DSO will manage support functions essential to sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting, sales process optimization, sales job design, sales program implementation, sales compensation design and administration.
3 to 5 years experience in a business to business sales environment as an individual contributor and manager
Holds a BS, MBA or PhD in a quantitative discipline from a competitive school
A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
Detail-oriented
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
Experience with programming languages, statistical computing languages and Salesforce.com
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
What you’ll do
Manage and work with a team of sales operations analysts to support the entire commercial organization
Provide data analyses to drive strategic decision-making within the organization and in the commercial team
Perform various analyses on sales performance, productivity, deployment and resource allocations
Act as point of contact and onsite expert for Salesforce.com and other sales related tools
Develop a tracking dashboard and mechanisms to measure progress and monitor key sales statistics most relevant to growth levers
Spot trends and recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis
Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement by working closely with sales management and inspecting the sales process quality
