Welcome to Marktplaats!About the TeamThis role sits within the Seller Growth Team, part of our SMB organization, responsible for designing and scaling commercial models and partnerships that help entrepreneurs succeed on our platform.
A growing share of our SMB revenue is generated through API integrations, SaaS platforms, and partner ecosystems that enable sellers to automate listings, manage inventory, and scale their business on Marktplaats.
Our mission is to transform these integrations into a structured growth channel, enabling sellers to seamlessly advertise, sell, and grow through connected tools and platforms.
We work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Data, and Technology teams to design scalable partner programs, joint propositions, and ecosystem-driven growth strategies.
About the RoleAs Commercial Partner Manager – API & SaaS Ecosystem, you will own and grow Marktplaats’ ecosystem of integration partners, including aggregators, SaaS providers, webshop platforms, and marketing agencies.
These partners play a crucial role in enabling sellers to automate their operations and scale their business on Marktplaats. Your mission is to turn this partner landscape into a structured commercial growth engine that accelerates seller acquisition, adoption of new propositions, and long-term platform revenue.
You will define the partner strategy, segmentation, and commercial frameworks, and work closely with internal teams to ensure our platform capabilities, pricing models, and go-to-market initiatives are effectively enabled through partners.
This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of commerce, product, and technology, combining strategic ecosystem thinking with hands-on partner management.
What You Will DoOwn and grow the partner ecosystemDefine the strategy and roadmap for Marktplaats’ API and SaaS partner ecosystem, including aggregators, webshop platforms, and integration partners. (e.g., Shopify, Channable, CycleSoftware, ISN).
Segment and prioritize partners based on strategic value, seller reach, and growth potential.
Build and manage relationships with key partners to drive joint growth initiatives.
Develop joint business plans with strategic partners to accelerate seller acquisition and revenue growth.
Design partner propositions that enable adoption of Marktplaats monetization models, including subscriptions, performance-based pricing, and transactions.Identify opportunities for co-selling, co-marketing, and ecosystem-driven GTM initiatives.
Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to ensure partner needs are reflected in API capabilities and platform roadmaps.
Support the development of scalable integrations that simplify seller onboarding and automation.
Act as the bridge between partner needs and internal product development.
Track and analyze partner-driven performance across revenue, seller acquisition, listings volume, and adoption of new propositions.
Establish dashboards and KPIs to measure partner impact and identify growth opportunities.
Continuously optimize the partner ecosystem through data-driven insights.
Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to enable partner-led acquisition and seller growth.
Support GTM strategies for new commercial models through partner channels.Represent the partner ecosystem in strategic discussions across Product, Commercial, and Leadership teams.
5+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, platform ecosystems, or commercial strategy, ideally in a marketplace, SaaS, or platform environment.
Strong understanding of API ecosystems, integrations, or SaaS platforms and how they enable automation and scale for businesses.
Proven ability to build and grow strategic partnerships that drive measurable business impact.
Highly analytical and data-driven, able to translate performance insights into commercial opportunities.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of influencing stakeholders across commercial and product organizations.
Naturally collaborative and able to operate effectively in cross-functional environments.
Entrepreneurial and proactive, comfortable navigating ambiguity and building new initiatives from the ground up.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
